πŸ”Ž Search and Feeds

This section describes tasks that use search queries or public YouTube feeds: search results, suggestions, trends, and Shorts.

YouTube-Parser features

πŸ” Search Results Parsing

The task collects videos, playlists, or channels by keywords from 1_Search_Keywords.txt.

YouTube API

Available parameters:

  • Collected data type β€” video, playlist, or channel.
  • Result order β€” relevance, upload date, view count, rating, title, or number of uploaded videos.
  • Published after / before β€” date filter. Both fields must be filled for the filter to work.
  • Topic β€” YouTube API hidden topic classification. Use carefully because it can significantly reduce the number of results.
  • Video category β€” transport, movies, music, animals, sports, games, people and blogs, entertainment, news, education, science, and other categories.
  • Video resolution β€” HD 1080 or standard.
  • Video duration β€” long, medium, or short.
  • Video license β€” YouTube License or Creative Commons.
  • Embeddable player β€” only videos that can be embedded on websites.
  • Watch on sites β€” only videos available on external websites.
  • Subtitles β€” only videos with subtitles or without subtitles.
  • Video dimension β€” 2D or 3D.
  • Live broadcasts β€” active, completed, or upcoming.

InnerTube API

InnerTube API is used for video search results and supports:

  • Hashtag parsing β€” search by URLs like youtube.com/hashtag/keyword. Filters are not applied in this mode.
  • Result order β€” relevance, upload date, view count, or rating.
  • Upload date β€” last hour, today, this week, this month, or this year.

πŸ’¬ Search Suggestions Parsing

The task works through InnerTube API and reads keywords from 1_Search_Keywords.txt. The output is a list of YouTube suggestions for each query.

This mode is useful for expanding semantics before the main search results parsing.

Trends are collected through InnerTube API. Available parameters:

  • Category β€” no filter, news, music, video games, or movies.
  • Countries β€” comma-separated country codes in ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 format, for example US, GB, AU, CA, DE, FR.

Trends use single-threaded parsing.

🎬 Shorts Parsing

The task collects Shorts through InnerTube API. Main parameter:

  • Shorts count β€” how many items to collect, maximum 500.

🌍 Search Region

On the Advanced tab, you can set:

  • Country β€” ISO 3166-1 alpha-2, default US.
  • Language β€” ISO 639-1, default en.

These parameters affect region and language emulation where supported by the selected task.
