π Channel Metadata
The Channel Metadata task updates channel data from the Linker sheet in [Accounts].xlsx.
Linker is the data source for this task. You do not need to fill [Channels].xlsx for metadata updates.
βοΈ How to Enableβ
- In the YouTube-Manager Configuration tab, select Channel Metadata.
- Open [Accounts].xlsx.
- Go to the second sheet, Linker.
- In the row for the required account, fill only the fields you want to change.
- Save the spreadsheet and run the template.
You can leave fields empty: if you only need to update the description or only the banner, fill only that column. Do not add random values to fields that should remain unchanged.
π Linker Fieldsβ
Titleβ
The new channel title.
Use plain text without unnecessary line breaks. If the field is empty, the channel title is not changed.
Usernameβ
The new channel username without the @ symbol.
Example:
mytravelchannel
If the username is already taken or does not meet YouTube requirements, the template will not be able to apply it.
Descriptionβ
The new channel description.
Use the text that should appear in the channel description.
Keywordsβ
Channel keywords.
They are usually entered as comma-separated values:
travel, vlog, review, tutorial
Countryβ
The channel country.
Use a country code, for example:
US
UA
DE
Linksβ
Path to a text file containing external links for the channel links section.
Example:
D:\YouTube\links.txt
Inside the file, add one link per line:
https://example.com
https://t.me/channel
https://example.com/contact
Avatarsβ
Path to the image file used as the channel avatar.
Example:
D:\Images\avatar.jpg
Bannersβ
Path to the image file used as the channel banner.
Example:
D:\Images\banner.jpg
πΌοΈ Avatar and Bannerβ
Before running the task, make sure the image paths exist and the files are readable. If a file was moved, deleted, or the path contains a typo, the template will not be able to upload the image.
Do not fill [Channels].xlsx: metadata updates use only the Linker sheet in [Accounts].xlsx. [Channels].xlsx is a report spreadsheet filled by the template.
