π Channel Checking
The Channel Checking task checks the channel on an account and writes the collected information to [Channels].xlsx. It is the baseline mode for auditing accounts before running bulk actions.
β When to Use Itβ
Channel checking is useful when you need to:
- confirm whether an account has a channel;
- collect the channel URL and username;
- review the main channel details;
- check which channel features are available;
- refresh channel statistics in a separate report spreadsheet.
βοΈ How to Runβ
- Open the template input settings.
- In the YouTube-Manager Configuration tab, select Channel Checking.
- Make sure the required accounts are enabled for processing in [Accounts].xlsx.
- Run the template.
After the run finishes, check [Accounts].xlsx and [Channels].xlsx.
π [Channels].xlsxβ
[Channels].xlsx is a report spreadsheet. You do not need to fill it manually before running the template. The template adds or updates rows for the checked channels.
The spreadsheet may include:
- account data connected to the channel;
- channel title;
- channel URL;
- channel username;
- feature availability indicators;
- channel description and keywords, if they were collected;
- channel creation date, if available;
- view count;
- video count;
- subscriber count.
Do not use [Channels].xlsx as an input file: this spreadsheet is for reviewing results. Use [Accounts].xlsx to choose which accounts are processed, and use the Linker sheet in [Accounts].xlsx to provide channel metadata.
π What to Check After the Runβ
After channel checking, review whether:
- the channel URL was filled in;
- the username was detected;
- statistics were collected;
- the account status contains an error;
- the detected channel is the one you expected to process.
If Multi-Channel Mode is enabled, make sure the template entered the correct channel on the account.
